Yuki Kondo is a freelance writer currently based in Kyoto, Japan.

He has traveled and lived abroad with his wife, Motoko,  for more than 5 years from 2003 to 08,  during which he  worked as a professional freelance writer doing both the articles and the photography for various publications and magazines. Yuki and Motoko did volunteer work for 7 months in Bunbury, Australia from 2003 to 04.  And then they traveled for 10 months from Australia to China in 2004, studied Chinese in Yunnan province, China for a year in 2005, worked in Shanghai for a year and a half from 2006 to 07 and then traveled for 15 months between China and Europe through central Asia, several ex-soviet countries, finally to Africa from 2007 to 08.
